The Director of Sales and Business Development is primarily responsible for generating new business contracts and driving revenue for the Company. This role is both a sales executive as well as a sales director who participates in strategic business planning.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of the senior management team and contribute to the development and refinement of company vision, goals and strategy
  • Drive sales revenue planning, develop business growth targets and strategies to accomplish them
  • Generate revenue by closing contracts with new or existing MHIN customers to reach annual revenue targets
  • Consult and listen to determine how MHIN’s services can fit their needs and bring value
  • Present solutions to all levels of customers – practice manager to C-suite executives
  • Prepare pricing proposals, negotiate and close contracts
  • Build and foster relationships to create new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Cold call and conduct active market outreach to generate leads and market awareness for MHIN
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and appropriate documentation in for business and revenue forecasting
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Research & Development to identify and develop new products, services and customer segments.
  • Identify and pursue business partnerships that lead to new product and service opportunities
  • Maintain Industry awareness and expertise related to current needs and future trends
  • Collaborate with Marketing on market analysis, campaigns, and materials
  • Represent MHIN at identified conventions, seminars or other industry-related events
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare-related field



  • 5-8 years of experience in Healthcare IT, consulting, or in a related area is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using consultative sales approach
