We are committed to being at the forefront of the health technology industry and stand ready to work with you to accomplish it.

kelly-hahaj-2-webIt’s an exciting time to be in healthcare IT! As an industry we’ve made so much progress, but we still have a lot of opportunities in front of us.

2018 was a great year with several accomplishments, a few of which you’ll see highlighted in this report. Our traditional health information exchange services saw average growth in terms of new customers and data sharing which continue to build a deep foundation of information. We also had the opportunity to work with the City of South Bend and St. Joseph County Health Department on a couple important population health initiatives in the community; Community Paramedicine with the South Bend Fire Department, and, identifying high risk children for lead screenings. We are proud to be part of such meaningful initiatives and hope to be involved in similar projects in all the communities we serve.

Care coordination and transitions in care are still important topics that are at the forefront of many conversations that we engage in. To that end, another key accomplishment was the connectivity to the Department of Veterans Affairs so that information can be made available when patients transition between the private and public healthcare sectors. Additionally, we began working with REAL Services, the regions Area Agency on Aging, providing notifications to help improve transitions of care when their patients are discharging to home.

Looking ahead, we hope to engage in new and emerging community and population health projects. And, we will continue to focus on innovative solutions for providing access to information. Our current solutions have proven value and are highly used every day. But, what if we could do even better by integrating a view of the information right in a user’s current workflow? Or, serve up the information in more insightful ways? Or, pair it with other cross sector information that is helpful to patient care and health outcomes? There are a lot of opportunities to continue making a positive impact to the health outcomes in our communities. We are committed to being at the forefront of the health technology industry and stand ready to work with you to accomplish it.
